The development market is very contentious with a small group of vocal citizens who did not understand what Portwalk would actually look like when it was going through the permitting process. The rezoning process in Portsmouth is not an easy path. With that being said, we are finally at a stage where this can actually happen. The City of Portsmouth would like to design and construct a connector road through the property and this has been their desire for approximately 20 years but they have never had a property owner for the land in question that was willing to work with them in a constructive manner. I represent the majority landowner of the area proposed to be rezoned off the Route 1 Bypass behind U-Haul.
I know you likely are all very busy but I am requesting just a few minutes of your time to hopefully assist in an effort I have been working on since this past February. I hope everyone is having a positive week as we approach the holiday season.
